Don’t Let the nets break!

fish
John 21: 6 , ‬11
6 He said to them, “Throw your net out on the right side of the boat, and you will catch some.” So they threw the net out and could not pull it back in, because they had caught so many fish.
11 Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net ashore full of big fish, 153 in all; even though there were so many, still the net did not tear.
By following the direction of Jesus, the disciples were successful in earning a big catch. But the surprising fact is that ” the net did not tear ” despite the heavy catch!
The net was full of big fish that the disciples could not even haul it because of the great number of fish but it did break!
Now, what if the net did break?

The whole of point of earning a big catch would have been destroyed by it! Because they will loose their big catch back into the water through the torn net. And they net would be useless for further use until repair. So it is very much important that the net does not break with the heavy catch. It is quite evident that it is the fact that ‘ Jesus being on their side‘ is the reason for the non- breakage of net.
In life, we receive many blessings. But with that ‘big catch’, we often let our net sink under its weight and they break easily. At that point we feel useless of the blessing that we had received. Life doesn’t end at the point of a shower of blessings (a big catch) but its also necessary to ensure that the net doesn’t break. That is why we need the constant guidance of God and the grace of God with us! We need to make sure that Jesus is on our side even after the ‘big catch’. We must always remember to give all praise and glory to Jesus on the ‘big catches’ that we receive in life for without Him it would have been impossible…
Give thanks to God for all His blessings and may God help us not to be proud of anything we received so that our net doesn’t break easily
God bless you….
